In June, July, and August the whole town of Ucluelet is booked solid and reservations are a must. May and September are also busy and a confirmed booking is recommended. Other months can be hit and miss. In order to make sure you have a spot, reserving is always a good idea. A deposit of $250 CAD per package day will reserve your West Coast experience with Barkley Adventure Station. Many of our guests are repeat customers who book a year in advance.
Are fishing licenses provided?
Fishing licenses are not provided; you need to purchase one with a salmon
stamp before you arrive at the Barkley Adventure Station. Fishing licenses are
available at the gift shop at the Canadian Princess 24 hours a day once you enter
Ucluelet.
What are our catch limits?
The daily limits right now are 2 Chinook salmon and 2 Halibut per person per
day. Coho is scheduled to open June first for 2 hatchery Coho per person, per
day.
Possession Limits are as follows, 4 Chinook salmon and 3 Halibut. That is your 2-day possession limit; note you are only allowed a maximum of 3 Halibut in your possession per person. * Warm clothing is always a good idea it can
get chilly if you get wet and the fog mist is quite cool.

* For fishing trips always remember a 100 quart plus cooler.
When do the fishing and adventure trips leave?
Fishing charters depart between five and six am. depending on the time of
year, daylight, and each specific groups requirements. Eco Adventure tours depart
at varying times so please check ahead for schedules.
How long are the fishing trips?
Each trip is based on an 8-10 hour day. With two, three, or four people on
board, you will spend less time at sea than you will with 5 or 6.
Will I get seasick?
Motion sickness affects everyone differently, it is recommended that all
of our guest purchase a motion sickness tablet of some sort and take it the night
before and the morning of any offshore charter. An example of a motion sickness
tablet would be gravel, etc.

At the Barkley adventure station we have cooler and freezing facilities. Arrangements
can be made for smoking and custom packaging of your catch at a local smokehouse.
Shipping can also be arranged. The smoking and shipping costs are extra, freezing
