Experienced, Local, Fishing Guides
You know, on a website every guide and service can look great, but at the end of the day it's what's in the box that separates the men from the boys. Our fishing guides are experienced, local and expert in their knowledge of these ocean waters and the fish who inhabit them. Not only that — they're a lot of fun, hardworking, and love to fish!
Dave Porter (Skipper Dave)
38 ft Bayliner Motor
yacht 4-8 people

Skipper Dave grew up in Port Alberni (former Salmon Capital of the World) and at 13 he “broke in” working in the commercial fleet where the life long desire of living life at sea was etched in his soul. The transition to charter guide was a natural progression as the commercial industry collapsed. Work ethic and productivity were instilled in this young man at a young age and he has often been referred to as one of Ucluelet's top guides. He has everything to offer, experience, a beautiful vessel, and the best looking deckhand in the fleet!
Jason Williamson (Parksville)
24 ft Offshore Grady White 3-5 people
Parksville has been fishing on Vancouver Island since 1994. Along with sports fishing he's spent time working in the commercial fleet. Jason spent his summers guiding and during the off-season worked in the hospitality industry. This is where he developed his service and people skills. Along with being fully certified and experienced, Jason is genuine, friendly, and service oriented. He strives to anticipate needs and exceed expectations not only with the fishing but also with your entire west coast experience. Whether your trip is a family outing, corporate or a guys get away, Jason will make your trip a positive and memorable one.
Krystal Aikman
Krystal is an accomplished skipper. She comes from a commercial fishing family and she has a lot of sea time learning from some of the best known and respected local fishermen.
Jason Muehlenberg
Jason was born & raised with salt water fishing in his blood. Having grown up in Port Alberni (Former Salmon Capital Of The World) he's spent many of his years fishing the local West Coast waters. At the age of 18, Jason sold his soul to the ocean and became a Sport Fishing Guide working among Ucluelets Elite Guides. He and his wife both reside in Ucluelet where they own and operate Harbour Hill Bed & Breakfast. Jason not only delivers exceptional service and a hard work ethic but also provides a youthful energy to help make your fishing experience unforgettable.
Nathan Savegnago
Fishing is a way of life for the enthusiastic guide. Having grown up in Port Alberni, the local water of the Alberni Canal & Barkley Sound have been his backyard. In 2001 Nathan made the move to Ucluelet where his career in the marine industry began to take form. Between chartered sport fishing expeditions and commercial fishing trips Nathan has covered much of Vancouver Islands coastal waters and garnished invaluable knowledge of this environment. Even on his days off Nathan is still fishing, likely to be found on one of his favourite rivers trying to entice steelhead on the fly. Nathans passion for fishing and love for the water are both obvious and a reflection of the way he leads his life. A day on the water with this upbeat guide will leave you with a smile on your face and most importantly bragging rights on the dock.
